Question Refinancing one fraction selling the other fraction in a context of variable price

    Good evening for everybody!

It's my first post here, after having registered minutes ago in this forum. I hope I can find some help to help me to solve this problem.

I looking for the solution formula to excel (office 2016) to this problem:

I have 15000 issued rights in wallet. In a few days I have to decide what to make with them.

I'll sell part of them so I can gather the money enough to refinance the underwriting of the other part not sold.

I need to know how many rights should I sell so that the sold one give me back the precise money to pay the underwriting of the remaining rights, knowing tha the price of rights will vary along the negotiation (just like shares in stock market).

    Conditions:

Total Number of rights in wallet - 15000
Price of rights - they will be negotiated for some days (so price will be one constant variable)
Price to underwrite one right - 15*0.094
N.º of rights to sell - Variable (depending on price of the rights - i think...)
N.º of rights to underwrite - (the difference between the total number of rights and the sold rights)

Can you help me formulating a way to construct a formula to excel so i can solve this problem?

    Thank you very much!

(I know it's unfair to say it, but I'm in a hurry... It would be nice if i have it tomorrow night. Thank you a lot for your attention.)

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

    Looks like class work...

Nothing is more frustrating than to be working on homework and to get stuck. Without guidance, you might have no hope of finishing the assignment before the deadline. The Internet can be a big help in that respect, but without learning how to get the right answer, asking others to solve your homework questions for you simply becomes a downward spiral (and it's cheating).

We do not want to contribute to you cheating yourself out of your education, but we also acknowledge that seeking assistance to learn a concept is a legitimate request.

If you are genuinely interested in receiving help in the form of tutoring or coaching, then please rephrase the title of your original post to clearly indicate you are seeking coaching or tutoring help. Any forum members (who are willing to assist as a tutor) will modify their responses accordingly to facilitate your learning. Tutors don't tell you the answers, they help you figure it out for yourself; so don't expect answers, expect suggestions, or just plain hints. Also, be specific in describing the function/formula or technique you trying to learn, and tell us what you have attempted so far. Otherwise, expect your plea for homework answers to be ignored.

    Sorry, ProtonLeah.

Of course I'll change thread title. But let me tell you i'm not in a graduation level. I've already finished it, but it's not in maths or even computing. That's the reason I expected some help from you! This problem suddenly got up in my way and requires an urgent solution. I'm just tryng some help. This is not my field of specialization. My job belongs to the world of law... And it would be very polite of you to apologize for your assumption. I thought this forum could help me solving this problem quickly... And I thank you all very much for that!

I'll change thread title and for my mistake I apologize too.

I tried to take a look to the other thread titles, but i was not able to choose the right words to change it. I'm not specialized in excel language or math language, even i know how to describe the problem in a current speech. Can you help me after taking a look to the problem enunciation?

Thank you very much, Protonleah, for your attention.

ProtonLeah, I think it's better to delete this thread.

I'll go to the tutorial section, with a new formulation, this time with the mathematical formula for the same problem. I think I have achieved the right formula, but i don't feel ready to translate it into an excel code. Do you think i can get some help here in your forum?

    Thank you very much.

    My best regards.
