Is that all in a single cell or multiple cells?

    Re: time calculation

Let's assume this is your data:

    Data Range
    A
    1
    6:30am
    2
    12:00pm
    3
    3:00pm
    4
    6:00pm
    5
    7:30pm
    6
    8:05pm
    7
    9:30pm

As is, Excel evaluates that as TEXT entries.

To convert them into true time values...

    Select the range A1:A7
CTRL + H (that will open the Find/Replace userform)

    Find what: am
    Replace with: (press the spacebar)am
    Replace All

    Repeat the process for pm

The results should now appear as true time values like this:

    Data Range
    A
    1
    6:30 AM
    2
    12:00 PM
    3
    3:00 PM
    4
    6:00 PM
    5
    7:30 PM
    6
    8:05 PM
    7
    9:30 PM
