Hello,
I am currently working on a task sheet and looking to find an easier way for the document to record "date completed" for a given task. Right now I have a column labeled "Status" and a column labeled "Date Completed" and I am asking users to manually type in the date completed. Unfortunately, this has often led to people forgetting what date they completed the task because they forgot to fill it in.
Is there any way I can make a cell automatically populate with the current date if another cell has the text "completed". I know its likely a simple If formula but the NOW() or TODAY() functions won't work since I don't want it re-updating with a new date every time I open the document...
