Unhappy Highlighting several anniversary dates using Conditional Formatting

I'm going around circles with this, but I know I'm missing something obvious.

I need to highlight a staff member's work birthday in a holiday spreadsheet.

Column A contains all the days for the year (i.e. 01/01/2016 to 31/12/2016) in a vertical list. (A18 to A382)
Column B lists the days of the week.
Column C is staff member 'XY' 's data

Row 2 contains the Start Date of employees, e.g. 27/06/2014.
Rows 3 to 16 contains other numeric data (days taken, sick days etc.)
    Row 17 contains their name

Using Conditional Formatting, I need to highlight in Column C the cell that is XY's anniversary of starting work with us, so 27/06/16 if their start date was 27/06/2014. (It must just highlight and not change the values in the cell.)

Obviously I then need this to repeat for all staff (Column C to Column DA).

Please can anyone help before I lose my mind?

It would be easier to help if you could upload a sample spreadsheet, with names and any other sensitive info changed of course. To attach a spreadsheet click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window (the paperclip icon doesn't work).
That said you might try the following formula as a conditional formatting rule Applied to C18:DA382
    Formula: copy to clipboard
