Hi,
Is this a string of text or a formula which results in 630?

Do you have the FORMULATEXT function in Office 365? I am presuming you do. If so, you can use that along with the LEFT, MID and RIGHT functions to extract the numbers.
e.g. =RIGHT(FORMULATEXT(A1),3)
will result in 290.

Thank you AliGW,
If we have 5 numbers.......
Because some cells have 4 to 5 numbers...
OK - I've had fun trying to guess what your data looks like. How about posting a realistic sample with some expected outcomes?![]()
We receive goods many times from one supplier, and we record like =22+35+210+31+11, like that. After that we can get any special scheme for some of it. Like 2nd delivered 35 have 2% rebate, want to prepare other form.
We have much more columns, so we dont want to create more columns for goods receiving. One of the reason is all are same price
Can you put this onto an Excel sheet, WITH your expected results? I'm not clear what you need...

Hi,
Are these cells strings of text or a formula which results in 630.
Strings of text
In below attached file, I want formula for B3 cell
You need to change one of your Excel options
File...Options..Advanced scroll down to 'Display options for this sheet' and untick the checkbox
The one called "show formulas in cells instead of their calculated results" needs to be unchecked, to be precise...
Yes, i know, i send you in that format to understand easly
Rajesh. You have confused us all, I think. Tell us all again EXACTLY what is in what cell and what you want done with it....
Ok, Glenn,
I have entered some data in B2, Total 5 numbers,
I want one of that 5 numbers in B3. Some times 1st number, some times 2nd number etc. Let say in this sheet I want 4th Number in B3
Thank you for your patiency.
How/where will you indicate which one you want?
No reply... you're probably asleep. So try this out.
let say I want formula for B3 like "B2 4th number"(my intention, not formula),
Sorry, I don't know is it possible or not. I did't see any where like this, but my boss........![]()
Rajesh. Does the sheet I attached come close?
Excellent boss.... Thank you.....
One small request, Can we include C column number into formula, Then I can change number in Formula.......
Can I suggest that since you want to analyse a series of data values that you consider the way you are currently capturing and recording data. For any serious analysis you should collect data in a normalised 2 dimensional table. Once you have that then you can use Excel's various tools and functions to analyse it in many ways. This approach would be much simpler than jumping through hoops to interpret and analyse strings of varying lengths.
Yes, I saw the sheet, But in my sheet values have "=", because that cell must have total value.
