    Divide a column by a number and group results in columns of that number

    Hello, I would like to take a semi linear list of numbers with data and group them into the number I divide by equally as in;

    That's the basic example. If possible I would also like to omit numbers with a V in column B, and specify the order of counting to 101-104, and go backwards 219-201. 101-104+219-201. 219-201+319-301 etc.
    so it would list as;

    Thinking an array would work but I'm pretty lost. Thank you

    Take a very deep breath... and start again. I have no idea what you want. It would be easier (maybe) if you attached a sample sheet.

    Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? Please don't attach a picture of one.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually), explaining carefully how they are derived.

    3. Make sure that all confidential information is removed first!!

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells. They cause lots of problems!

    Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    please pay particular attention to point 2....
    Glenn
