Highlighting the lowest of 3 results. How to do?

    Hi together,

    I have 3 results of a calculation in B5, D5 and E5.
Now I like to highlight the lowest result of those 3 with a green background. I know I have to do this with the function conditional formatting, but how?

I use Office for mac 2011

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello mac
I'm not sure about Excel within a Mac but for a Windows PC you would select each of those cells individually with left click holding down Ctrl and apply a conditional formatting formula:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =B5=MIN($B$5,$D$5,$E$5)

Then choose the formatting options. See image:

    Try this...

    Select cell B5

    Goto the Home tab>Styles>Conditional Formatting>
    Manage rules>New rule>Use a formula to determine
    which cells to format

Enter this formula in the box below:

    =B5=MIN(B5,D5,E5)

    Click the Format button
    Select the desired style(s)
    OK out

Repeat the process for D5 and E5
