    Splitting begining and end date into two columns in matching month

    Ex:
    I have
    1st cell 2nd cell

    15.01.2016. 11.02.2016.
    14.06.2016. 05.07.2016.
    05.04.2016. 10.04.2016.

    i need formula that splits date in such manner that
    jan feb ... apr ... jun jul ....
    15.01.2016. |31.01.2016. | 01.02.2016. | 11.02.2016. ...

    14.06.2016. | 30.06.2016. | 01.07.2016. | 05.07.2016.

    05.04.2016. | 10.04.2016.

    I don't follow your requirement clearly. maybe this:

    D1: =A1
    E1: =IF(MONTH($B1)=MONTH($A1),B1,EOMONTH($A1,0))
    F1 =IF(MONTH($B1)=MONTH($A1),"",EOMONTH($A1,0)+1)
    G1 =IF(MONTH($B1)=MONTH($A1),"",$B1)

    copy down as far as needed.

    if this isn't what you want: please attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is enough data to demonstrate your need. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary. Remember to remove ALL confidential information first!!!

    However, nothing on this Forum works quite as well as you might expect. The attachment icon doesn't work!! (Helpful, isn't it!!). Instead, just before you submit your post, click on GO ADVANCED (near the bottom) and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window. The relevant instructions are at the top of that screen.

    No. that doesn't help. Please explain a) what information you are starting with, b) what you want as a result and c) whay names 1, 2 & 3 have got to do with your problem.
