    Display cell X If Monday, Y if Tuesday, etc... Formula assistance?

    I've been trying for a few days to try to get a formula to perform a behaviour that I haven't been able to get and would greatly appreciate anyone's assistance with it.

    I want the formula to display the contents of let's say cell A1 if today is Monday, cell A2 if today is Tuesday, A3 if Wednesday and so on...

    Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again!

    Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. Hey, so your formula worked perfectly... But I didn't realize that it wouldn't be as simple as replacing the A1:A7 with 7 cells that aren't in a series. For example: Monday A1, Tuesday A3, Wednesday A6, Thursday A7, Friday A10, Saturday A14, Sunday A15.. Is there a way to adjust your formula to make it work with those cells? I tried =INDEX(A1, A3,A6,A7,A10,A14,A15,WEEKDAY(NOW(),2)) and also =INDEX((A1, A3,A6,A7,A10,A14,A15),WEEKDAY(NOW(),2)) but neither of those worked.. I'm sure I'm being dense about something here, but if you have any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again.

    Table columns in D1:E7

    Use the following

    =INDEX($A$1:$A$15,VLOOKUP(WEEKDAY(NOW(),2),$D$1:$E$7,2,0))]

    Can you post a SMALL sample file so we can see your data structure?

    Make sure you include the results you expect.

    Maybe this...

    =CHOOSE(WEEKDAY(NOW()),A15,A1,A3,A6,A7,A10,A14)

    The INDEX version would be like this...

    =INDEX((A1,A3,A6,A7,A10,A14,A15),0,0,WEEKDAY(NOW(),2))

    But, now that I've thought about it I like the CHOOSE method (a few keystrokes shorter)
