    Formula Count Occurences with Date Criteria

    I need to count how many times each of the fruits were active for each month of the year. I have a list which similar to the attached with around 4000 entries and I need to summarise this. As an example for what I am looking for, from the attached I know Blueberry was active for 1 occurrence and Banana 2, but how do I get a formula to determine this
