Re: calculating revenue for installment payments

try the following formula in Column H: =(F8-E8)/365*12*G8
Column F should have the year end date
Column E should have the year start date

(F8-E8) will result in the number of days between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016
(F8-E8)/365 converts the days calculated above into years.
(F8-E8)/365*12 converts the years calculated above into months
(F8-E8)/365*12*G8 calculates the total income based on the months calculated above and the monthly revenue listed in Column G.

    $180,000.00 in revenue from April 1, 2015 - March 31, 2015
$540,000.00 in revenue for the entire contract period March 1, 2014 - February 28, 2017.

Re: calculating revenue for installment payments

If the contract starts in the year you either calculate on whole months or calculate pro-rata it on the dates as per calculation given in post #2,

I was simply responding to your specific example.

At 15000 per month you could not have 360000 for a year !!!

    What dates did you use?

The formula given ( =(F8-E8)/365*12*G8 )works

Then you need to have the start/end dates of your required period in other cells if you do not want to use (change) the contract dates.
