    Slope Percentage

looking for a formula that will give me what the rise or slope would be. Example if I have an elevation of 10 feet in (A1) and the pipe run is 100 feet in (B1) and in (C1) I have 1% as a slope. How would I write the formula in "D1" to find what the elevation would be? I appreciate all the help that I have gotten in this forum.

    Re: Slope Percentage

    Why isn't that a 10% gradient???

Or are we talking 9 feet here?

    Re: Slope Percentage

This would be a simple problem if you could just provide a picture or diagram. It's geometry/trig,
and more specifically there will be some application of the Pythagorean Theorem to solve it. In the
diagram below, which would be the pipe... b or c?

I have a pipe run that is 100 feet long and it needs to slope 1%. How much fall will it have?

    Re: Slope Percentage

You're welcome! My understanding is that the "run" is the horizontal distance the pipe length would be a trifle longer
