Golf Society Leaderboard and Scoring System

Hi, ive recently been brought in as Captain of the local Golf Society so wanted to produce a spreadsheet which updated a leader board that included everyones names and the score they were on after each round. There is a points system so for example, 1st get 12 points, 2nd get 10, 3rd get 9 and so on... which would then need to be added to current leaderboard. Would anyone be able to help me with this as ive tried a few different formulas but cant get anything to work where it adds the relevant score and applies that to the overall leader board. Can provide you with the spreadsheet to get an idea of what I want if that would help.

The pink section in the attached looks up the relevant score for the course position based on the points system table you included. That may need tinkering with if I have misunderstood the system. This formula is replicated for each of the courses.

The green section sums the points for each course for each player to give an overall score.

The blue section ranks those overall scores.

The yellow section turns it into an ordered leaderboard that will update itself as scores are added to the workbook.

Is that anything you can work with?

Hi again hope your well !! Couldnt help me out again could you with another problem im having with a different execl spreadsheet? This one this time is for the Euros this year. Will calculate the score manually but want the leader board to be updated automatically. Say for example a correct result is worth 1 point and a correct score is worth 3 then after a game week, a persons points will be calculated and inserted into the week 1 section and so on for the remainder of the Euros. Ill attach the spreasheet ive got and hope you can help out a little as your last work on the golfing leaderboard was brilliant ! Any help would be appreciated.

I used to run football prediction competitions like this and somewhere I have a workbook that takes all the effort out of calculating the scores.
You enter the predictions for each player, then the results as they come in and everything else calculates and updates live. I should dig that out, could be of interest to you.

Yeah thats great what youve done on that spreadsheet very much appreciated !! be even better if you could find the spreadsheet you used to use so i can use it for this one that im trying to run at work once the euros start would be so much easier ! aha Cheers again pal.
