You will need to convert all the numbers in the range that are stored as text to true numbers. Then you can use the =Sum(x4:x14) to achieve accurate results.

this should work for you except that you have some numbers that are text which you'll have to correct first.
=SUMIF(S4:S13,"burnley",X4:X13)

If you convert "gf" column to numbers it works (result is 4).

Select each cell and click PF2

what im trying to do is add a vlook up formula to the one we are working on.

what i want it to do is add the data from the gf for each team from the LEAGUES tab to the RESULTS tab for each team onto the FIXTURES tab thus giving a prediction of the next game
is the possible??
