Consolidating Needing Two Columns of Information

For a work project, I am trying to consolidate some materials on a spreadsheet. It has been requested of me to have both a material number and the material in two columns and then consolidate the materials. I also need to keep the material code and material in different columns.

I have tried the A1%" "B1%" code already and it was stated to me that it would be too hard to decipher.

Is there a way to consolidate this type of information or am I up a creek without a paddle?

Re: Consolidating Needing Two Columns of Information

If you have a long list of duplicated materials, and want to find the total of each, 1 way would be to make a unique list of materials (if you dont already have 1) using advanced filters, then use SUMIF() for the totals.

if that was not what you wanted, then, as suggested, upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
