Vlookup with indirect to define the array

    Hi all,

First of all this is the first time that I post anything: but I'm an avid leecher here cause all of you make a great community and help each other so much that basically all of my questions have been solved previously.

I think this should be easy to do but I'm also not getting it done, so here's my first post! Thanks in advance

I have a Pivot Table that gets updated every month. Then I have a vlookup with that pivot table as the array. My problem comes every new day of the month because the pivot table gains another column and the number of rows vary, too.

Is there any way to make the array be linked to the pivot table itself no matter its number of columns/rows? I think using indirect should be the case, but I can't get to it.

    Thanks a mill.

    Cheers!

i could be wrong, but i don't think you even need an indirect formula. You could just change the table array in the original vlookup formula to include the blank rows and columns where the new data will occur ahead of time

    Hi,

    Thanks for your answer.

That is correct, but that's like an overkill: I could set the vlookup to be 500 months in advance, but I'm sure there should be a way to do it dynamically and "neat" in that sense
