Time sheet that splits normal time and a half and double time

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a time sheet that allows me to just input the start and finish time and it automatically divides the hours between the 3 columns

We often work various times so the amount of hours are not relevant its just between the times that counts.

I've tried a few things but my knowledge is limited

I've attached what I've got so far.

What are your rate rules?

Regular Time =
1.5 Time =
Double Time =

In cells A12 to A14 you state the hours for the different rates, which seems to contradict what you say above.

Also, if someone works on one day from, say, 14:00 to 2:00am the next morning, will you enter the 2:00am in the finish column of the same day?

yeh, if there's a night shift starting Monday at 20:00 and finishing Tuesday 08:00 both times would go on Monday.

if someone only works a Saturday in a week they would still get paid the shift at OT2 also anything worked past 12 hours in a day is paid at OT2

Regular time = 0-8 hrs in one shift, max of 40 regular hours per week?
1.5 time = 8-12 hrs in one shift
Double Time = 12+ hours in one shift, all day Saturday unless shift started Friday
