    Copy part of a string in a cell to another cell

    Hi

    Can someone please assist

    I have got in column A the below

    Task Name
    Training of Teams - Muembe Nzini
    Muembe - Nzizi Village
    Installation Nzizi Village - HC1 x 1
    Installation Nzizi Village - PA x 1
    Installation Nzizi Village - CR2AC x 1
    Installation Nzizi Vilage - SL X 10
    Installation Nzizi Village - COMMF x 5
    User Training & Handover Nzizi Village

    LAGO District
    Meleluca Village
    Installation Meleluca Village - PA x 1
    Installation Meleluca Village - SL x 10
    Installation Meleluca Village - COMMF x 8
    User Training & Handover Meleluca

    I am looking for a formula that will insert the value HC1, PA, CR2AC ect in the adjacent cell in column B depending of the type system specified in column A.

    I have tried the left, mid and right but the problem is the strings are not all the same lengths and I dont know macro's at all.
