show with a progress bar for completion of data in a range of cells

    Hi All,

I have been looking for a % Progress Bar that will run automatically in a cell and there are many examples but not one like I would like it to feature.

The sample attached is an idea of what I am looking to achieve

Thanks in advance for any ideas to make this happen

Use conditional formatting -- Data Bars

When I enter the =C30 parameter the number shows up - not the bar!

The same CF rule needs to be applied to Cell C35.

Then, make sure in the CF rule you have the 'Show Bar only' box checked.

Just delete the CF rule from Cell C30

    Ace,

That is AWESOME - It worked... Is there a way to not show the Bar in C30 - seems silly to have two progress bars, and is there a way that the bar actually shows the % of completion?

Ok - So you just removed the Conditional Formatting from C30.. Can the Conditional Formatting allow for the numbers of % to be viewable as it changes - IE 5% then 10% then so on and so on

Is it even possible for the Conditional Formatting to show the % as it changes?

Re: show with a progress bar for completion of data in a range of cells

Why not simply have that in the adjoining cell by way of a simple formula?

    In D35 use

    =C30/C4

    Format as %
