Not sure if I need INDEX MATCH or another formula please

Hi Everyone,

Please see below the attached file. If you look at Cell A40. I have a drop down for either A or B. If A is chosen, I want to use the numbers from B42-B51, if B is chosen I want to use C42-C51. This is doing so in column G from G42-G51. However In column I from I42-I51 I am using a VLOOK UP. If I select B in A40 then while the numbers in G change, the VLOOKUP doesn't work anymore. Can someone please help me with a formula in I42-I51 so it works whether I select A or B.

Thank you

Sorry If I didn't explain that clearly.

Okay, taking Graph 1 as a worked example, and if I've understood you correctly:

In range G41:G51, replace the formulas with number values, 1 through 10.

In range H41:H52, use the following formula:
Formula: copy to clipboard

In range I41:I52, use the following formula:
Formula: copy to clipboard

You can follow the same logic for your other graph sections...

Does that do what you wanted?

I've attached your file amended for Graph 1.

Please take a moment to read the forum rules and then amend your thread title to something descriptive of your problem - not what you think the answer might be. (think google search terms?). Once you have done this please send me a PM and I will remove this request. (Also, include a link to your thread - copy from the address bar)

Many members search our previous posts, and thread titles play a big part of the search. I doubt anybody would do a search based on your title?

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT POST then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(note: this change is not optional )
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Which solution was perfect? Two were offered, both quite different interpretations of what you wanted...

Oh, and did you see fdibbins not about changing the thread title?
