Conditional Formatting Based on Date, Formulas, and Text

Hello,

I am looking to have conditional formatting color cells containing a formula/text white/blank.

I currently have a sheet that colors approaching dates either red, green, or yellow based on their distance from TODAY(). This is working well but I would like any cell that doens't contain a date to remain filled white. I'm not exactly sure the best way to accomplish this so I am asking this very helpful forum.

Simplified: I would like to exclude cells that do not have a date from this formatting.

use an AND and the rest of the formula

=AND( cell <> ""

lets have a look at the sheet and come back here - watch for an edit


Actually add a new rule
A5=""
and no format
then make sure thats at the top of the list and stop if true

In CF rules, use

Format cells only that contains -- Blanks -- No colour

Keep this as the first rule and check the 'Stop if true' box (this is crucial!)
