I need to know if it is possible to protect cell based on the text entry. For instance, if I see the word LH, cell is protected with automatic formula, if I see the word LM, there is a manual input. Can I do that?

Hi Olga,
Yes it is possible, but it would need to be done with an "event macro".
If you post an example of your workbook, I can show you how. I need to see where the LH or LM will appear, and which cell you want locked.
Regards,
David
Please remember, your request is clearer if you attach a sample workbook.

Hi olga6542,
David A Coop is correct, you will need to do this with a macro.
Here is an example with the cell to be locked/unlocked directly to the right of where you input LR/LM.

If you can send through exactly what you are after we will be able to amend the code accordingly.![]()
