    Conditional Formatting on multiple rows

    Afternoon all,

I have set up a training matrix so that when a member of staff is trained in a Method Statement, the date of training is recorded.
What I have done in the past its applied conditional formatting to each row, like shown in the .png attached.

So if there is no date of training, then the cell should be left blank (E3:J12)
If the date is less than the date in column D, the cell should turn red (E3:J3)
If the date is greater than or equal to the date in column D, then the cell should turn green. (E3:J3)

Trouble, there are now close to 70 Method Statements, so rather than apply the 3 condition to each of the 70 rows, is there an easier way to do this?

I have attached a sample if anyone would be so kind to have a look.

    Thanks in advance.

    Lou

You can just change the 'Applies to' range to
    =$E$3:$J$12

In CF change the "Applies to" range

    =$E$3:$J$100

    Thanks for your quick replies.

Would this work if each row has a different date, i.e D3 is 28/05/2015, D4 is 27/05/2015?

Wouldn't I have to change the formula shown in the below image?
