decimal places...
Thanks its done but if there is 450,000 then how it would be shown as 4.5
450000 would require formatting #.0,,,<CNTRL J>%%

To shift decimals by factors of 3 is easy
Custom Format #.0,
to custom format by other factors of 10 requires some sneakiness.
Since % formatting, increases by 10 we can do
#.0,,% which makes your 45000 look like 4.5%
Great except the percent sign.
To hide the % sign, we enter CNTRL + J (line break) between the comma's and the percents, and then format the cell alignment tow wrap. The % is moved to the next line and is not seen. That's the best I can do.
i tried to do by _(* 0\.00,_); but its showing 4.50 but i want to see it as 4.5 only
0\.0, works for 10 thousands place
See my attachment (post 7) select any cell in column C and "Format Cells" to see formatting
Oh, when you look at the formatting, you won't see the % signs because CNTRL J moved them to the next line.
Hopefully, you'll get the idea.
That's zero backslash period zero comma
updated worksheet

Thanks again but in attached file its no where showing to convert 450,000 as 4.5![]()
Columns C and E are the same numbers as in column A so C5 and E5 are 45,000. I have noticed that uploading and downloading seems to be erasing some of my comma's in my custom format so am including a picture of what the file should look like.
I think that if there was another way to do this, someone else would have stepped forward by now.![]()
