Question Easier way to match and copy data

    Excel.PNG

    Good evening all,

I desperately need to have some excel data files finished until the end of the month I'm not being able to find the formula to have them working.

You can find attached a photo that will certainly help to understand what I need.

I need a formula that lookup if the users match on both column C and column G. If they match the idea is to copy automatically the (IMEI, SERIAL and TAG) highlighted as grey from blank values (IMEI, SERIAL and TAG) highlighted as Orange.

NOTE: Already looked for the VLOOKUP and INDEX / MATCH formulas but wasn't able to figure it out by myself.

    Thank you!

Re: Easier way to match and copy data

In E2 for example, copied down
    =IF(C2=G2, A2,"")

Is that what you are looking for?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately that formula isn't working, it's not even being accepted by excel or returning any value.

Apparently the formula it's working the problem is that it's not showing the result, instead returns the formula again

I have confirmed that was working by using the Formula function on Excel that doing it as you said it showed on that window the result.

Any idea why it's showing the cell and not the result?

I'm recently using office 365, don't know if I miss something.... new feature perhaps?

    Thanks

"It's returning the formula"? Is the cell formatted as "Text"?

I do not know what functions OFFICE 365 accepts or does not accept, so can't help you there.
