Calculating Weight Loss Result to Date and Welight Remaining (Horizontally/Row)

    Hi There,

I am trying to figure out how calculate to two formulas on my weight loss tracker spreadsheet. So far I can't seem to get it working right. I have found many formulas on this site that work for vertical ranges but not horizontal. I tried modifying the formulas for this but it still isn't working. excel.png

I have my weight in D36 and then I enter in weekly a new weight horizontally in Row 36.

    1. I want a formula that calculates my results to date(as I enter it weekly) or how much I have loss or gained from a absolute starting weight
I have tried the following but can't seem to get it working:

    =D36-OFFSET(D36,COUNT(36:36)-1,0)

    2. I want to calculate the weight remaining I still need to lose, taking the latest weekly weight update and comparing it to my starting weight.

Thanks for any help you can provide

    Last recorded weight:
    =OFFSET($C$36,0,COUNT($36:$36))
Notice that the zero is the row offset, in your original formula, you counted the columns in row 36 but put the results in the row argument position causing the offset to go down vs across.
