Hey guys so im using excel and was testing out some methods of problem solving using goal seek. Say you a formula in A1 ~((4*A2)+A2) that uses A2 to be calculated. A2 then is restricted using data validation to be of values between 2 and 12. You then use goal seek on A1 to get a value of 72, it will then proceed to put a value of X which is above 12 into the cell that you have restricted to be between 2 and 12. Is there any was to fix this or make it so that the cell cannot be overridden.
