    Say i have this on A1 and A2

    Leather/Hand Bags/DOUBLE ZIPS
    shoes/ Gents Shoes/CANVAS

    I need result on b1 and b2 as

    Entered in B1 and copied down:

    =LEFT(A1,FIND("/",A1)-1)

    Put this in B1 and pull it down

    =TRIM(LEFT(A1,FIND("/",A1)-1))
