Date Format Issue

Hi All,

I am having a problem with an excel file that we use for maintaining the admission records in the Hospital.

The Column A is for date...

I have set the date format to dd-mm-yyyy and I use a VBA code for multiple entries in a cell using drop down list.

The date format automatically changes to mm-dd-yyyy till 12th of a month..and thereafter is back to dd-mm-yyyy

Pl suggest a solution..

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Sounds to me like your date is actually being pulled in in a dd-mm-yyyy, and that the 12 "position" is actually the month, not the day
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Date Format Issue

Works fine for me, the dropdown matches the list on the spreadsheet.
Check your Regional Settings within Windows for date format.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Check your regional settings on both your laptop and hospital desktops, compare.
in control panel / region and language / formats there are date formats

Re: Date Format Issue

Thanks for the input
I will be able to check the settings tmrw...however, the date format in the hospital PC works fine without the vba code... so I wonder whether the regional settings would be the issue
