You have made this rather more complicated than it needs to be. Rather than having A,B,C in one cell in summary, is there any REAL reason why they cannot be in one cell each? If they REALLY MUST be in a single cell, can commas ( , ) appear in the middle of the supplier's name (like Smith, J and sons) or will they ONLY appear as separators.

None of us get paid for helping you... we do this for fun. So DON'T FORGET to say "Thank You" to all who have freely given some of their time to help YOU
Dear Glenn,
one item is supply by some supplier, so I need to take average the lead time. Thank you
Than you, biut you did not answer either of the questions I asked:
Is it posible to have supplier names in the summary in DIFFERENT cells,
If "no", can there be commans in the supplier names?
Hi Glen,
Supplier names in the summary we need in 1 cell, the average is to define the strategy for the item.
and in supplier name we must put in different cells to see their performance.
You STILL haven't answered my second question:
can commas ( , ) appear in the middle of the supplier's name (as in "Smith, J and sons") or will they ONLY appear as separators.
They only appear as separators
Sorry - one more question - what is the MAXIMUM number of suppliers for a single item?
3 suppliers
By requiring that the (maximum) 3 suppliers are all in a single cell, instead of separate cells, as I suggested, this is rather complicated. This will oNLY work if there are NO COMMAS in the names of the suppliers - which you confirmed in Post #7.
let me know if you need any help with it!!
Hi Glen
Thanks, please help with no commas, try to purpose on that
What do you mean by "please help with no commas"? i do not understand you.
Hi Glen,
Please ignore, I will use as the attached file.
Glad to have helped! If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED. It'd also be appreciated if you were to click the add Reputation button at the foot of any of the posts of those who helped you reach a solution.
