I would like to speak to a moderator

I sent a message to FDibbins this morning, of which there was no reply.. I have purchased Commercial services and would like to get with a Moderator so I can review my project..

The old Thread "Trouble with Code - Adding New Record with Form does not function " was the original post.

    Thanks,

    John

How do I PM a Mod? I do not understand - I thought that purchasing commercial services would be desirable... No one is responding - Am I doing something wrong?

Re: I would like to speak to a moderator

Yes it is... However I purchased commercial services early this morning with no response... Did not post a thread anywhere else and did so out of frustration... at 3PM AZ time... If I have broken rules , I AM SORRY... I just do not understand that paying to have the services and no one responding - WHY?

Re: I would like to speak to a moderator

I am a Moderator. First, you do not have a post in Commercial Services, at least not in the last couple of months. So maybe you misunderstood how to post there. Your post is in Excel Formulas & Functions.

Posting to CS first requires purchasing points, then posting a thread there and assigning points to it. Complete instructions are in the FAQ at http://www.excelforum.com/commercial...-services.html.

If you clarify your question a bit you may get an answer for free in your other thread.

Re: I would like to speak to a moderator

Instructions said PM a Mod and have them cancel the thread in the other section and have it reposted in Commercial Services - I have a receipt.. I am sorry I may have messed up...

    Subscription Point Summary

    Point Remains: 20
Last Trx. On: September 9, 2015 07:52 AM
Blocked Points: 0 from 0 Threads
    Last Payment Amt: USD 20
    Last Payment Received From: Paypal
    Last Payment Received On: N/A

Also, there was a notice in a yellow type banner at the top with the instructions of NOT duplication the thread in the commercial section - to contact a Mod to do it...

Also following your instructions produces the following message...

I don't post in the CS forum, but most of the reasons are likely the same as for the free forum: the question doesn't interest people, or they find it poorly stated or confusing, or more complicated than they want to jump in the middle of, or they feel that OP is unlikely to understand the answer if it were given to them. The one additional reason in the CS forum is that people feel the effort is not worth the proposed fee: How long would you be willing to work to earn $15?

Re: I would like to speak to a moderator

So take the $20 regardless... Unfortunately I may have stated my need incorrectly to satisfy the interests of those that benefit from the Fee's that the Admins propagate on the Forum,... I did not see or read - Purchase Commercial Services art your own risk... I just needed a skilled mind in Excel to review the code... As far as understanding - I have pieced this together over the last 6 months in the hopes of creating a sound project...That being said, I feel that I may be compelled to make it my effort to share with all that I can about my misfortune. This is too bad... I really liked coming to this Forum to learn and discover - This CAN be avoided.

I will see if I can help you in your free thread, if you attach your file.

If you still want to offer payment for help, you have paid but you have not posted a thread in Commercial Services. I have reported your thread above to see if an Administrator can help you.

Re: I would like to speak to a moderator

JJFletcher, if you have a question for the Commercial Services, post your question there and someone will assist you. Include a link in your CS thread to your old thread and we'll see that it is removed.

You're in no danger of being ripped off, certainly not over $20. Just post a thread and it will be assisted, or not and your points can be returned. No stress.

THis may be a timing issue. You 1st PM to me was at 07:16 (9/11/15). I was fast asleep then, and replied to you at 10:39 (after I woke up at 10:30 - I work 2nd shift)...then again at 11:14, 11:18 and 13:26 where we discussed your problem. The latest PM was this,,,

You cannot attach files to a PM, you need to do that in the thread
OK, I am at work now - so this evening I will post to the original thread!

    Thanks

    John -

PS that should be in approx 4 hrs or so!
