Formula to Omit characters and also remain blank if #VALUE!

Hello everyone,
New to the Excel Forum but looking forward to your expertise.

I am attempting to create a formula that will do all of the following..

1) Return the text from another cell (ie. =B10)
2) Omit the first 4 characters (ie. =RIGHT(B10,LEN(B10)-4)))
3) Remain blank if the source cell is also blank. Not sure how to embed this IF part.

I keep getting a #VALUE!

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
