    Trying to understand a complicated formula

    Can anyone tell me how to read this formula?

    =IF(LEN(B38&D38)+2>=LEN(A38),"",MID(A38,LEN(B38)+2,LEN(A38)-LEN(B38&D38)-2))

    It is in F38 of the attached worksheet. I know what it does but I don't understand how it works.
