    Index/Match or something else?

    Hi all,

I have tried Vlookup, Sumproduct, IF and index/match all to no avail.

I have data that comes from another file that is paste linked in columns G, H and I

The data in Colums A, B are in order. Column C is a concatenated of A+B.

I need marry up data5 with the correct data1,data2/Concatenate.

    File attached.

    Match_Index_Problem.xlsx

The Vlookup requires the data to be in order but sadly that will NOT be possible.

Sumproduct is a calculation which is not needed.

Index/match seems to be the only way but I cannot get it to work.

    Can you advise please.

    Cheers

    Try,

    D2:

    =SUMIF($G:$G,$A2,$I:$I)

    and copy down.

    Would that work?

Thanks. It doesn't need to count or sum anything.

I think I may have found the answer

    Ah ok, yes works nicely.

    Another alternative,

    =VLOOKUP($C2,$F:$I,4,FALSE)
