Trying to make column letters change when dragging down.

Hi Guys,

This is my formula

I have manually typed accross 501-512. I am now looking to drag down the entire 12 cells for about 50 rows and just for the m to change to n, o, p etc. This would save me 600 manual inputs.

Any ideas please.

Remove the $ before the M

Slightly faster would be to copy that block of cells down the column 4 times, then highlight the cells from Row 13 to row 24 and do CTRL-H (Find & Replace), and:

Find What: $M
Replace With: $N
Click Replace All

Repeat for the next block of 12 cells, but change the $N to $O in the Replace box, and so on.

You might want to change !B to !B$ first if you always want it to bring B21, then B22 etc.

Hope this helps.

Sorry Pete. Little confused. This is in row 5 from column a-l with the same formula except 501,502 as far as 512 across. I want to highlight the 12 cells row 5 a-l and drag them down 50 rows just changing the m to n o p etc.

Dragging a regular formula DOWN will not adjust the column numbers, only the row numbers, no matter how you absolute or not

You would need to use something else like OFFSET or INDIRECT
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
