Recognise the date and multiply by the correct yearly value?

I have two sheets:
Model of Sheet 1
kNYMzMl.png

Model of Sheet 2
URjXODN.png

I want the value (B column) in Sheet 1 to multiple the value (C column) in Sheet 2, if they are both in the same year, and to be input into the D column.

e.g. Sheet 2 D3 input: =(C3*'Sheet 1'!B4)
because they both correspond to 2013.

Is there any way to automate this, so that when it recognises the year that the event took place in, it multiplies by the correct value?

[Beginner, Excel 2007]

Hi, welcome to the forum

Please upload a sample of your workbook, not a picture of your data. Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you
Also, not all members can upload picture files (Company firewalls and stuff) - and, depending on what browser is being used, some pics dont even show up on the forum

Your workbook should show a small desensitized example of the data you are working with and a manual mockup of the expected results.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Thanks. I'll take note for the future. I figured this one out though using VLOOKUP
