I am in need of help with a formula. I am making an attendance spreadsheet for two different programs within my school (WIOA and 21st Century). WIOA program represents class periods 1,2, and 3 for each day and 21st represents BSA, 4,5, and 6 for each day. In cell AP4, I need to total the class periods 1,2, or 3 for each day of the week, BUT I need the "X" to add up to the five days of the week, not the number of "X". Example: Student John Doe attended class each day of the week (5 days). So I need a formula in cell AP4 to count the "X" in the cells for one day total, in other words if John Doe came to ANY class period (1,2, or 3) then I need the formula to count him as present, present = 1 day attendance. If John Doe attended 5 days of school, then cell AP4 should have the number 5 in it. If he attended 3 days of school, then cell AP4 should have the number 3 in it. Is this even possible????????
I have attached a one week example with this post.
I'm desperate for help...
