HYPERLINK function not fuctioning when cell is locked

Hi,
I have entered a hyperlink function within a formula and works well but as soon as the cell is locked (protection enabled), it stops working. Please help.

When you Protect the sheet, check 'Select Locked Cells' as in attached screenshot:

This allows you to use the Hyperlink but not edit/delete.
