I was using conditional format in Access and I thought it would work the same way in excel but it is a little different. I was trying to use Conditional formatting where I would use a formula to determine which cells to format and I entered the rule but it does not seem to be doing anything. I have a column with an actual color name and I want to change that other cell to that color. So if the one cell has the word "Green" in it. I want to make that other cell's background green. Here's what I put it but it has no effect:

Well it is not letting me upload now so my formula I = M6 = "Green" then in the format window I put in background color Green but on the actually spreadsheet nothing happens even when it says "Green" in cell M6. What am I doing wrong.
