I am trying to use conditional formatting to color a cell green if 2 conditions are met....one being if there is an "a" in the cell and second if the value in another cell is greater than 1. I've done the formula several ways but can not get it to color all of the applicable cells. I've looked through the threads and other sites but can not find a solution. Attached is the spreadsheet with the conditional formatting. Thanks for any help.
In your formula, remove the $ from in front of the D, and the formula will look at each cell's value and not just that of column D.

select range D8:H8 and in edit rule
REMOVE $ SIGN BEFORE D in conditional format formula like
=AND($C4="a",D4>1)
and click ok and apply buttons
