    Hello,

    I hope that someone will help me.

    I have a data set as per below:

    Date Hour Number Calls
    01/01/2014 0 30
    02/01/2014 1 23
    03/01/2014 2 56
    04/01/2014 3 78
    05/01/2014 4 90

    What will be the best array formula to be use to find the average peak usage time and day for customer's calls?

    The data is for the whole year, 365 days, 24 hours but the hours are in the data as 0,1,2,3,4,5,6....23

    So I expect the result to be that the average peak usage e.g. 230 calls is 11oclock and the average peak day is Thursday

    This will be interesting to solve can you please attache sample sheet with data.
    I think we use average function in array to get result..

    Without data nobody can predict what will be formula.

    Also mention your answer manually so that we can work towards that.

    PFA excel sheet make changes for peak day.....add one more column and keep day data in text format and use average if instead of hours(use text formula to get day..text(cell, "dddd")

    your data was too more hence i reduced data and formula run on lesser data.

    Thank you for the formula but it does not work when I apply it to 8915 rows of data - not sure - the result is 20 as peak hour but I can see that the peak hour is 12-13
