If cell is empty = show nothing

    Hi all,

I would like to get data from my 'master product list' to a new fresh template but still use the old one as a database. What is the easiest way to get the data of a new article when it's added to the master list? Please see attached file. Should I add some blank cells for the upcoming articles? The thing is that I don't want to change anything in the new layout file/sheet when I add (or remove..) something in the master list. All the articles is going to be listed by category like the master list.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I have not seen your master file but I would suggest you that if you have a master file with all these categories like Electronics, Furniture, others then you can create template where instead of putting all data in single sheet you can create/add sheets with the categories name. Then there would be a macro which will merge your all data into master sheet from the template.
I can help you to creating such a macro..

    Hi LokeshKumar,

Thanks for you reply. I can edit the master file so there is one sheet per category. Is there any chance to use that kind of macro to get all of the articles into one single sheet, listed by category?

    It depends on data..
Just understand the logic.......If you have all the categories name in one table on any sheet then VBA macro will find all the strings one by one copy all the below data till it find the other category name and paste it somewhere you want.

Ok, if I understand you correctly I can build the new master list as the attached file BUT with one category only per sheet. Sounds perfect.

I think it's easier for me to create a new master list with one sheet per category. So if I use the A-column for category name only it will work I guess.

    Hi again,

Here is the new productlist. Is the macro going to work on this? All the categories are placed in column A on every sheet. See attached.
