Conditional formatting - equals multiple values

    Hi

This must have been asked a million times before, but i can't find the answer, or the answers i thought might work didn't (XL2010).

It's quite simple, if a cell's value = 43, 56 or 99 turn blue. I want this for all of column F. (i have a lot more values but just using these as an example)

    I've tried things like:
    =OR(43, 56, 99)
    =AND(...
    and similar variations.

None of which generate an error, but the cells containing these values just remain with no fill.

    Thanks

    Try it like this...

    =OR(F1=43,F1=56,F1=99)

Assuming you have a header in row 1, select F2 down as far as you need to go. Then use the CF formula:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =OR($F2=43, $F2=56, $F2=99)

    Hi Tony/TMS

    Very weird.
    Rule:
    CELL (F1) VALUE > EQUAL TO > =OR(F1=43, F1=56, F1=99) - fill blue.

Yet as soon as i ok/apply the cell goes blue, even though it's empty. When i enter a value, be it either of the 3 values stated, or any other number, the fill disappears.
    WTF?
TMS, i tried your way too, same thing.

I removed the multiple values & just used one value & it works as it should (eg if cell F1 = 2 turn blue).
    Strange, any ideas?

Don't use Cell Value, use Formula.

    See the example attached

    Hi TMS

    Seems obvious now.
