hi guys,
i have asked before regarding cumulative monthly returns. so whats happening is i have monthly returns of lets say one stock.
-0.053667 0.081285 0.005245 -0.046957 -0.259124 0.20936
these are the returns of the stock the previous 6 months. i want to find the cumulative monthly return. so after a lot of attempts i find out this formula:
PRODUCT(1+B2:G2)-1
this for some reason must by implemented by pressig ctrl shift enter. the result it gave me is -0.12164575.
my main problem is i dont know if this result or the formula is correct.
what do you guys think? will this give me the cumulative monhly return?
thank you in advance!
