Calculating Annual Leave pro rata

Hi,

I need to calculate holiday entitlement pro-rata. Our company uses the rule of entitlement ÷ 12 (months) x remaining months of the year

So say I have an entitlement of 26 days it would be, 26 ÷ 12 months x 9 months = 19 days

How can I show the remaining months of the year as a sum

Hi Glenn,

The holiday entitlements are different for each member of staff, and some staff have started half way through a year

I was hoping there is a sum that would calculate this? I have set my spreadsheet up as below then got stuck

Employee Start Date Entitlement Pro-rata
Bobby Jones 01 January 2015 30 ?
Hannah Beaver 16 March 2015 20 ?
