combining lists and filtering

hi all

i often have to deal with combining lists of different primary keys.

i need a formula to say if "value of cell A1" = "any value in range "Worksheet!2,A:A" then value of this cell equals "the cell in range Worksheet!2,B:B that is next to the corresponding value in B"

sorry if that's a bad way to explain it

in the example above i want cell B1 on worksheet one to equal 456 because cell A2 on worksheet 2= the value of cell A1 on Worksheet 1
other example is i was cell B2 on work sheet1 to equal 1025 because cell A2 on worksheet one equals cell A4 on worksheet 2.

hopefully this example explains it a bit better than i did
