match data on 1 sheet, with another sheet

Is there a formula for this? If I have a massive spreadsheet with names and numerous information, example what food people want to eat, etc.. Since composing my spreadsheet, I have 100 people that changed there mind. They now want 2 hamburgers. If I have those names listed on a second tab, how can I say if a name in this range equals a name in the second sheet range, enter a 2 here? I hate to go line by line and change each one because total I have really over 3000 names listed on my first sheet.
