I know how to use the rounding off function in excel. But found out it is not really rounding off just displaying a rounded off number in the cell I have chosen to round off. The remaining digits are still in the excel and affect the formulas I am trying to apply to a group of cells.
Example I get a result of 1.43 rounding off to 1 decimal place the cell shows 1.4.
I have 3 cells showing 1.4 and use SUM(A1:A3) to add them up and the result is 4.3, not 4.2 as it should be. I am not rounding up or down out to merely simplify this is measurements of time and based on my industry standard we round off and not worry the 100s of minutes. So I need the rounded up number to be the final number and throw away the rest of the info, so my formulas add up properly.
