Hello,
I would like to create a cell that changes colour or displays warning text notifying that the 'SHEET' is currently Protected or Unprotected.
Is there a formula or function that can do this?
Many thanks,
Dean.

Hi,
You could do this with a UDF:
Then use =ISSHEETPROTECTED() in your worksheet to give a TRUE or FALSE response.![]()

Rule 1: Never merge cells
Rule 2: See rule 1
"Tomorrow I'm going to be famous. All I need is a tennis racket and a hat".
Hi Sweep,
That works great thanks.
I tweaked the formula =ISSHEETPROTECTED()=FALSE
I used it in a conditional format to change the colour of a cell to notify me that the sheet is 'UN'protected.
IMPORTANT NOTE: (To future readers, the cell colour only changes after an event.)
Many thanks Sweep.
Regards, Dean.
I had another question but deleted it and started a new thread...
