I HAVE A FORMULA THAT TAKES THE ENTRIES FROM A SPECIFIED ROW IN ONE WORKSHEET AND FILTERS OUT THE DUPLICATES IN ANOTHER WORKSHEET, BUT THE WAY I HAVE THE FORMULA IT TAKES EVERY ENRY FROM EVERY COLUMN IN THE SPECIFIED ROW. WHAT I NEED IF FOR THE FORMULA TO RETURN EVERY SECOND COLUMN ENTRY IN THE SPECIFIED ROW. I HAVE TRIED USING OFFSET, BUT HAVING NOT USED OFFSET MUCH BEFORE I'M NOT HAVING ANY LUCK.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

my formula is in sht2 column a and returns all the entries in row 3 of the data entry sheet with no duplicates down column a. I need the formula refined so that it only returns the item names and not the dollar amounts. After re- thinking this, it cannot be every second colomn, because if the formula drops a duplicate, the second column after the duplicate will the be one of the dollar amounts. I only want the "items".

Better go for vba since I written a formula which gone huge and got a message from excel saying that Excel Run Out of Resources and got frustrated and closed the workbook
